What a privilege to perform in Armenia! It happened in a very unexpected way thanks to the unfathomable support of some dear friends. I played a short set, about 45 minutes, half original songs from the forthcoming album, and half were dixieland and blues covers. Here’s a clip of some original tunes I performed that fateful night…
Oh, by the way, I came up with the name for the album somewhere over the Atlantic during my flight back to the US! I can’t wait to unleash! It’s epic…
Here’s a photo of some of the amazing friends who came out that night for the show…
At this point, all I can say is that I cannot wait to return to Armenia. I seem to always wind up saying that. It’s a place of great magic, imagination, inspiration, fighting spirits, I could go on and on. One wise friend suggested I record my next album there. Not a bad idea. First things first, finish this album, schedule shows, secure some financing to produce the next work, and off to the Hayrenik!
For the record, I would love to take this album on a tour (with a BAND!) with shows in Beirut, Yerevan, Nicosia, Marseille, and some other choice locales where friends, family, and civilization abound.
